1. Act as though it were impossible to fail
Never count
yourself out. By having faith and believing in your goals for the 2013 calendar
year you are already a step ahead of the majority of the population. Be
specific when you write your goals down, and then go in that direction without
fail.
2. Understand it takes time for things to
change
If you are in the
process of transitioning from one perspective to another, know that time is
your allie. As long as you have your health and strength, make every effort to
be patient about what is coming to you. Consider the Chinese Bamboo tree
3. Join forces with someone
Enlist the help of
someone who is at a similar stage in life and ride the wave of 2013, because it’s
going to be a big one. For people who are actively involved and highly engaged
it is always a good thing to have a second or third person to help master life’s
balancing act
4. Be relentless in your pursuits
The law of averages
says that if you try, try, try you will eventually reach a desired end. This
means that you have to truly want what it is you say you want. Get this year
started with some consistency and watch how the tide favors the prepared.
5. Do what other people don’t do
For some reason
hard work is a thing of the past for a portion of the population. For budding
champions, this is a great opportunity to separate you from the pack. While
others are sitting on their hands, you go out and stretch your potential to its
maximum
6. Remain calm and cheerful
Outside of living,
breathing creatures, nothing you can see with your eyes and touch with your
hands is irreplaceable. When the time may seem to call for outrage, fear, or
anger resist the temptation. These emotions are day killers and should be replaced
with thankfulness
7. Re-create yourself
Do something different.
We all know the definition of insanity, so plan accordingly. If you are
expecting to see the next level of your life unfold in 2013, create that person
you want to be by acting the part. It starts with a thought.
8. Follow up with some people
I am sure there are
a few golden opportunities from 2012 that are still open for you. Have you made
that follow up phone call or sent that e-mail that could catapult you into a
memorable first quarter? If not, now is the time. Start the conversation with a
joyful, “Happy New Year!”
9. Take a personal assessment
Decide if where you
are and what you are doing is sufficient to aid in your desired progress. If
you are living in unsatisfactory conditions decide what needs to change. The
person in the mirror is waiting for you, and ready to help you claim your spot
in the winner’s circle.
10. Have some fun!
