Love, Ambition, Beauty

We live in a world where the main visuals we see each day are images of what we perceive to be beautiful women. For the casual liver, these images are on the television in the form of news reporters and actors. We live in a world where people can have extreme feelings for another person but the evil and deceitful desires of the world can cause them to flounder and do things that will cause harm to the very person or people they love.

The desire to do what we believe to be wrong is a strong desire. Does it have so much power because we are programmed to believe we can do anything, but we indeed have to govern ourselves accordingly? Thus we do that which we do not want to do, because it is what brings instant gratification. For this reason, only a few people work their way to higher levels of living, and into the realm of true freedom.

For we are slaves to our minds. We are slaves to our desires. This is the punishment God rendered man in the Garden of Eden. The Tree of Life or so called Tree of Knowledge has been the thorn in the side of man-kind since the beginning of time. The more you know, the more the grow and the more you want to know. For the Bible tells us that the ear will never have enough of hearing and the eyes will never have enough of seeing. There is a constant yearning for more.

So then, how do we combat this natural occurrence or lessen the brute force it brings in causing us to falter in our ways? We must calm our spirits; break free from popular culture for a time and retreat to a place where your thoughts are the only thing you hear for a time. Otherwise someone or something is always telling you rather directly or indirectly how and what to think. Plato’s Allegory of the Cave comes to mind, and it is baffling that this perspective of thought has lived on and continues to be true even today.

The man who can go through life with the fewest desires is a man who will recognize the most happiness. Suppress your need to be fulfilled by accomplishing things. Instead pour your energy and resources into people. Share the life you have with the people you love. And know Love is an action and not a thought. Too often we believe we show love with our words, but this could not be further from the truth, love is energy. It is something that is always in motion. The minute you set it down or take your eyes off of it, it vanishes.

Husbands start going elsewhere for their sexual fixes, wives begin to desire to hear sweet nothings whispered in their ear by any man regardless if he is her husband or not. That’s because to her that is love. It is the action which produces love. Rather this love is for a thing, a cause, or a person, it is the energy and the attitude you approach it with that will cause love to live.
